Stephanie Valentine, Esq.
Stephanie Valentine is a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, where she graduated from Tampa Catholic High School. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 2000. Stephanie received her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center in 2004.
Stephanie began her career as an Assistant State Attorney with the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office. She handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases ranging from aggravated battery to second degree murder. Stephanie had numerous jury trials and non-jury trials at both the felony and misdemeanor levels.
After completing her tenure with the State Attorney’s Office, Stephanie commenced her career as a Civil Trial Attorney. She defended negligence claims as an insurance defense attorney while employed with Liberty Mutual Insurance. This invaluable experience of representing an insurance carrier provides a unique insight and knowledge into the inner workings of defense lawyers and the tactics they utilize in defending claims .
In 2010, Stephanie took the experiences and tolls garnered defending insurance claims and began representing plaintiffs at the prestigious law firm of Carey & Leisure. She has tried numerous cases to verdict on behalf of plaintiffs since 2010. In fact, she has first chaired personal injury trials in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco County.
Stephanie is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, and is a member of the Florida Bar, and The Florida Justice Association (formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers). She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of personal injury, first party insurance, wrongful death actions, premises liability, trucking accidents and motorcycle injuries.
